To my Ko Acupuncture family,
With mixed emotions, I am announcing my retirement on Apr. 12, 2025. After 33 years as a massage therapist and 23 years as an acupuncturist, it is time for a new phase in my life.
Working with all of you has enriched my life and taught me so much over the years. Between all the laughter and tears, good times and bad, we were a team striving towards the same goal. Through each of you, I have learned more about myself and about the strength of the human spirit and for that, I thank you. As the song in Wicked says “I’ve heard is said that people come into our lives for a reason bringing something we must learn, and we are led to those who help us the most to grow, if we let them. And we help them in return… I’m who I am today because I knew you.”
My future plans are: to travel as much as I’m physically able. Seeing other cultures and histories opens our horizons and gives us a different perspective to how we see the world. I hope to volunteer as a cuddler at Good Sam to hold NICU babies. I have some inventions I would like to pursue. I plan to teach classes on self help and for continuing education for acupuncturist to pass on what I have learned over the years. Hopefully I will see you at some of my classes in the future. Even though I won’t be in the office, you can still e-mail me if you have some questions but no guarantees I’ll have the answers. I hope to still work with people who are in hospice or terminally ill.
What I will miss most is our conversations on every topic under the sun and when the work we did together was successful and you felt better.
If you would like to be on the distribution list for future classes, please email me so you can be added to the list.
Best Wishes and lots of love,
Elizabeth “Betty” Ko
